Defense is a retractable sail awning of 11 or 14 square meters. It is available with a ground pedestal or with wallmounted supports (the product is called Condor). With a pedestal mount it is possible to rotate the sail around 360°. When wallmounted it can rotate 90°. The canvas can be rolled up in a few seconds manually or by remote control. The Defense can als be fitted with awind sensor allowing the sail to be closed automatically in case of strong wind.
The retractable sail structure is 60 mm Ø and 3 mm thick with 40 mm Ø and 1,5 mm thick support arms both of which are manufactured in stainless steel AISI 316. The 3 mm Ø cables and all tensioners are again made from stainless steel AISI 316.
The retractable sails themselves are made of white Dacron with fibreglass support ribs and operation is either manual or motorised, with or without sun, wind and rain sensors .
A range of anchoring options for the retractable sails are also available and you can for example have the standard ground-mount. You may have the sails mounted on back plate for wall attachment or a ballasted base complete with base cover in stainless steel AISI 316 and wheeled movement.
