The Intrepid is a truly unique fully independent and self supporting sail awning fixed to 4 aluminium poles, which if required can be retracted . This allows total flexibility whilst maintaining a clear defined statement.
It is supported by four stainless steel poles, two of which support the roller tube and the two others the sail. These retractable sail awnings can be wound in very quickly either manually or by an electric motor.

This unique self supporting retractable sail shade is available in various sizes and made up of two sail awnings. These roll on single horizontal anodised aluminium 65 mm Ø poles with pre-tensioned 10 mm Ø support cables in stainless steel 316 which are held by 4 wind bracing poles in stainless steel AISI 316 fixed to a self standing platform.
There is no need for ground anchors as it iIt can be supplied with a height adjustable wooden deck which gives even more versatility.
The retractable sail awning canopies are made of white Dacron. The self-standing platform of a robust steel construction which is then hot-dip galvanized for longevity and the wooden or composite floor adds the final touch of class.
Different types of anchorage include fixing directly to the ground: plugs, ballasted base per pole or galvanized iron deck with wood walking surface and adjustable feet.
